My daughter is 9 months old and has still not started standing up. She has been late in achieving all her milestones. Can an occupational therapist help in this case?

Yes, absolutely. Have her MD refer her to an outpatient O.T. They will help design specific activities and exercises for her to encourage and improve developmental skills. Take care!

The cause of lateness in achieving milestones could be from many, many factors. An OT can absolutely help problem-solve and encourage achievement of milestones for best possible development. Seek out an OT with experience in this field.

Yes, an occupational therapist can help. An OT can evaluate your child and then provide a treatment program to help child with motor, cognitive, self care, etc., skills so as to reach developmental milestones. A physical therapist can specifically help with mobility.
