My daughter is 8 years old and is definitely overweight, based on her height weight chart. What can I do to control her weight?
Remove unhealthy snacks and sugar drinks from your house. Plan outside activities to increase exercise and do not make food a reward. Limit 2nd helpings, go to skim milk, milk screen time to 1 hour daily, and increase exercise to at least 1 hour daily. Make changes for the whole family.
Sharply curtail inactivity, such as tv time, comic books, etc. Prepare smaller portions of food at home. Reward with fun activity time.
