I had an ankle injury 6 years ago. I am having pain in the same region again. What could be the reason?
I had an accident 6 years ago when a motorcycle fell down on my ankle. It was fine till now, but now I am having pain in the same ankle again. What could be the reason for the same? When it happened, I had it treated accordingly and couldn't walk on it for several weeks.

Joint injuries can later develop into traumatic arthritis. See your podiatrist or orthopedist for further evaluation and treatment options.
This could be due to arthritis or a new strain/sprain to ankle ligaments...I would definitely see a podiatrist to see your options including physical therapy, immobilization, a repeat MRI or an injection. Activity modification and good shoegear are always beneficial.
