• Is it advisable to undergo physical therapy after knee replacement surgery?

My husband is 38 years old and has recently undergone a knee replacement surgery. Is physical therapy recommended for him? How long should we wait before starting out his therapy?

You should start physical therapy right away - you dont want adhesions to develop. The longer you wait, the more tougher it will get to stretch out the muscles.

Absolutely. To gain full range of motion, good muscle strength and balance, as well as full functional ability, PT is needed.
