I have a new pet dog at home (he is 8 months old) and my baby is 2 years old now. Are there any health precautions to be taken with respect to my child?

Depends what breed of dogs? If your son has any other allergies?

Not really, the main thing is safety from dog bites and injuries of that nature.

Please be more specific. Kind and size of pet matters a lot.

In terms of health recommendations, make sure both dog and baby are up to date on recommended vaccines. Additionally, children should always be supervised around pets- even the friendliest dog may scratch or bite if surprised or injured by a playful child.
