• Should I see my doctor to get approval for Covid-19 Testing?

13 hours ago I was running a slight fever at 99.6 F. I have had a light cough off and on for the past two days, sometimes with a bit of clear phlegm. I am 35, significantly overweight, but otherwise healthy. I woke up this morning with no fever, temperature at 98.8. I have no other symptoms. Should I visit a doctor to receive a letter to be tested for Covid-19?

You are relatively asymptomatic. Unless your symptoms worsen and you have a fever of at least 100.5, I would not request testing, unless you live in an area that is testing asymptomatic individuals.

Your symptoms don't sound like COVID. Stay at home, drink plenty of fluids, and rest. A temp of 99.6 can simply be dehydration. 98.8 is a normal temperature and not a fever.
