• Why is my skin discoloured at the back? Is it normal pigmentation or something serious?

I suddenly noticed by back getting discoloured even though I have not travelled to any beach places to get a tan. Is this normal pigmentation or could it be a sign of a skin ailment?

Dear FATD Patient,

The discoloration is of concern, as it seems to have evolving characteristics and should be further evaluated by your primary care provider.

Ho there,

Do you have pain, numbness, along with being ashy, and dry? If you got hurt there, you could be developing Regional Pain Syndrome. However, the best course of action is to visit your primary care provider to rule out anything harmful.

Please check with a medical doctor/dermatologist regarding the same.

You should consult with a dermatologist. You could have a fungal infection, but that is just speculation. Speak to someone qualified in that area.
