• Son's inhaler barely works. Would he need to change his medication?

My son has had asthma for as long as I remember. Currently he's on Symbicort, but it's barely working for him. I spoke to his pediatrician about this, but he referred us to a pediatric pulmnologist to see the underlying issue. Because Symbicort isn't working as well as it could be, would he need a different prescription?

Yes, he might need a stronger dose and also his technique of using inhaler needs to be evaluated.
