• I accidentally spilled bleach on my skin and it left a burn. What should I do?

When cleaning, I accidentally spilled the bleach onto my arm and it left a burn. I didn't realize I left it on my skin that long. Is there anything I can do so it won't scar?

A burn is treated the same regardless of the cause. Keep the area moist. You can use a design type cream or Vaseline. Let the dead skin peel off on its on. Keep applying Vaseline untikl the area heals completely.

Assuming this is a recent spill and "burn", I would apply plain white petrolatum ointment until the skin is fully healed without an 'rawness', then consider applying an OTC silicone scar gel.

If it’s a mild burn, clean it with soap and water, then you can apply Neosporin cream, not the ointment.
