How far out are you from your initial injury?

Hi,

If your pain and swelling keep increasing, it could indicate that a more serious injury has occurred. Please refer to this link to see if you may need to get an X-ray:

Please also consult with your doctor and local physical therapist.

As a first aide, you should use ice around the swelling, but you really need to see an orthopedic doctor for X-ray and R/O fracture.

See a physical therapist. If it is pretty severe, they will refer you to the proper medical doctor. Likely you will undergo treatment designed to relieve pain and swelling, and improve joint mobility and strength. After 2 weeks of PT, you'll know if it's working or not.
