• Stitches are loose after extraction. What do I do?

I had my wisdom tooth extraction two days ago, and my stitches are already loose and I don't think that this is normal. What should I do? Do I need to go back to my surgeon?

Probably not a big deal, but YES, call your surgeon to ask and make sure.

Usually are resolvable. They will dissolve in day or two.

Return if you have concerns, or at least call your surgeon.

It's okay if they come loose, you can just pull them out. It won't hurt anything.

I would call your surgeon's office first. Sutures may be resorbable and then that could be normal depending on the type of suture.
