What is the treatment for high blood pressure?

My mother's blood pressure is rapidly increasing despite her medication. How can this be treated? Will she need new blood pressure meds?

Secondary causes will need to be evaluated and corrected. If the medications she is on aren't helping, then yes, new ones may help.
