I type a lot at work and lately I've been experiencing symptoms of carpal tunnel in my fingers. I'm really young, 24 years old, so I don't think I should be dealing with this now. Are there ways to prevent carpal tunnel?
Here are some pictures of exercises and a link to a video that may help.
Wear a splint at night. See a doctor if symptoms not getting better.

You need to take frequent breaks from excessive typing and make sure your work station is ergonomic.
Consider wearing wrist braces at night and an ergonomic evaluation of your workstation.
Most likely, at age 24, you do not have carpal tunnel syndrome. Most people with carpal tunnel do NOT have symptoms while typing. Beyond that, unfortunately, there is no proven way to prevent carpal tunnel syndrome.
