What are the symptoms of an infection after tooth extraction?
I'm 35 years old, and I had a tooth extraction over a week ago. I don't think it's healing properly, especially since the area feels pretty tender. There's also some pain still. Could it be an infection?

Yes, you should return to your surgeon's office for them to check and see what is going on.
Some extractions heal slowly. If overall the site is better than it was a couple of days ago, just wait it out. If it is the same or worse, then go to a dentist office.
