I am a 29 year old male who is about to go under anesthesia for a procedure. What are the side effects of local anesthesia?

Should be nothing, but in rare occasions, you name it, it can happen.

There is variation from patient to patient. You will feel numbnees of area. Maybe could feel dizzines or drowsiness. Some people feel nausea or vomiting.

Essentially nothing. Once the local wears off, you should be back to normal. It is always possible to have complications: infection, bleeding, damage to other structures, improper placement of the local. These complications are rare.

Mild discomfort or transient pain on injection.

Very few.

Local anesthetic is done by surgeon and anesthesia service is not involved so you have to check with your surgeon.
