• What can be done for rotten teeth?

My grandmother's bottom tooth looks almost completely rotted, and refuses to go to her dentist because she feels that the treatment would be too expensive. What treatments can be done for rotten teeth? And if she doesn't get this fixed, what could happen?

If there are no symptoms, you can leave it as is. If nothing done, it can break more or possibly get an infection.

May be infected and abscessed. Swollen face and so on

Depends on how far it has gone and what’s left of the tooth. Some treatments: regular filling. If too deep, then root canal. If too far gone, then extraction of the tooth. If left, it will get painful and infected.

She could eventually have an abscess if this doesn't get treated and travels to the nerve.
