• What can cause nails to stop growing on a child?

I noticed that my 8-year-old's nails haven't needed to be trimmed for a while, and I know she doesn't bite them. Is it possible for her nails to have stopped growing? What could have caused this?

Trauma such as constantly rubbing can keep them short. Is she getting the calories she needs? Is she otherwise growing? If so, I would add a multivitamin just want for now. Sometimes they grow rapidly then slack the pace for a while.

Could be many reasons, hormones and dietary, or trauma.
