• What does a twilight state mean with anesthesia?

I'm going to have twilight anesthesia for a surgery, and my anesthesiologist told me that I'll basically be under a "twilight state". What does this mean?

It's moderate or deep sedation. You'll be breathing on your own, but unaware of your surroundings.
