• What happens if you eat with elastic bands?

I am a 22 year old male. I want to know what happens if you eat with elastic bands?

They can snap or break or come off.

Not a problem, but it's better to remove and replace them, otherwise you might break a bracket or break the elastic.

Normally, I suggest that patients remove their elastic bands when eating food & replace them when finished. It’s okay to wear elastics when eating if you prefer. It is just a little restrictive.
Occasionally, the elastic band may break, especially if worn during eating. If that happens, then you can replace them after eating.
Good luck with your orthodontic journey.

It may make it a little difficult to eat. Usually, you take the elastics off when eating, but it will not cause a problem.

Might snap the bands.
