I am a 23 year old female and I have eye irritation. When should I see a doctor for an eye irritation?

A complete ophthalmologic exam is warranted.
You can try over the counter artificial tears four times a day. Also there are drops for allergies over the counter. If you don’t feel better with in a week, you need to see an eye doctor

As soon as possible.
You should see your optometrist or ophthalmologist when or if the symptoms interfere with your daily life, or if your symptoms do not resolve within a week of starting.
No hurry, wait till it's safe.
If the eye "irritation" persists or worsens , it would be wise to see an eye specialist.
