• Why are teeth sensitive to sweet and sour food?

My teeth became extremely sensitive to sweet and sour food for no clear reason. Why could this be happening?

Your teeth may be sensitive due to thin enamel structure, root recession or pressure from grinding/clenching. Otherwise you may have some cavities that are undetected. See a dentist to see if anything is going on and if you need any treatment. Otherwise, if nothing else is detected, you can use Sensodyne for sensitivity.

Due to gum recession, root surfaces are exposed.

It may be that you have a cavity or an erosive lesion on the root of your tooth. You should see a dentist.
