Why did my son cry after surgery?
My son's 13 years old and after he had general anesthesia for his tonsillectomy, he started to cry after he came out of it. He cried without any reason whatsoever. Could this crying have been caused by the anesthesia?

There are a number of reasons why your son may have cried after his tonsillectomy. He may have experienced what we call emergence delirium where the child wakes up confused, not knowing what is going on and crying is very common.
