Why does asthma cause my son to cough?
My son has childhood asthma and is 5 years old. It causes him to cough so much, which usually leave him even more out of breath. Why is asthma causing him to cough so much?

Because of inflammation in airways.
Asthma is a condition of inflammation of the lung airways; coughing is one of the symptoms.
