Why does doctor only want to monitor child's leukemia?
My friend's son was diagnosed with leukemia, but his doctor doesn't want to do any treatment... or at least not yet. He only wants to monitor it to see how it progresses because it's slowly growing. Shouldn't he want to treat it right away?

He should be seen by a pediatric hematology/oncology to find what type of leukemia he has so as to be treated.
