Biomedical Engineering Student Seeks to Understand Early Stages of Ovarian Cancer
Final thoughts
Flanigan strongly believes that his undergraduate research has played a vital role in his development as a biomedical engineering student. He stresses that the best approach to any student who wishes to get involved in a research project is to find one that grasps their interest and to talk to the project’s lead researcher about joining. Flanigan plans to receive his PhD in biomedical engineering and he hopes to become a researcher with focused attention on early medical diagnoses and treatments. “Without the undergraduate research experience, I don’t think I could really go on to what I want to do next,” he said.
