Her diagnosis of lupus gave Ayala some definite answers

With a definite diagnosis of lupus, Ayala now knows the reason why she is prone to have the flu, colds, sinus infections, and pneumonia. Lupus attacks your immune system and leaves you susceptible to other infections. Lupus took a toll on Ayala, she had to resign from her job at a mortgage company, with no medical leave or paid absences.

However, her future started to look brighter later on. After her diagnosis, she learned how to handle her symptoms and get the treatment she needs on a regular basis. Now, Ayala has a baking business called Barbell Sweets and is a personal trainer at the local gym.
