An experienced hospice and palliative medicine specialist, Dr. Lavedan is affiliated with Baylor Scott and White Supportive and Palliative Care – Grapevine. He works to relieve the pain and suffering of people who have a severe medical condition and are in a critical state.

After completing his internship with the Idaho State University Program, he went on to complete his residency in family medicine at the Creighton University School of Medicine in 1996.

Subsequent to his education, he attained board certification in family medicine & hospice and palliative medicine through the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Among his other roles, Dr. Lavedan has medical privileges at Baylor Scott and White Medical Center – Irving.

Hospice and palliative medicine is a formal subspecialty of medicine in the United States that focuses on symptom management, relief of suffering, and end-of-life care. Hospice and palliative medicine specialists are medical doctors who help prevent and relieve suffering of patients who have a serious illness or who have only a short time left to live. They work with a team of other professionals to address the needs of both the patient and loved ones.
