Get to know Family Physician Dr. Lauren Fletcher Luke, who serves patients in Lafayette, Louisiana.

Dr. Luke is a board-certified family physician at Acadiana Health & Aesthetics in Lafayette, Louisiana. Caring for the whole family, her goal is to address all of a patient’s medical needs in one place.

A native of Louisiana, Dr. Luke grew up in the small town of Abbeville. She graduated with her medical degree. She then went on to complete her residency at LSU University Medical Center in Lafayette, followed by an additional year in pediatrics at the University of Buffalo Children’s Hospital in New York.

Excelling in her field, she is board-certified in family medicine by the American Board of Family Medicine (ABFM). The ABFM is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.

Dr. Luke and her husband, Dr. John Luke III, a vascular surgeon in Lafayette, are happy to be home. Her family, all being from the Acadiana area, drew her back to her Cajun roots.
