Furthermore, he is the Clinic Medical Director for Dr. Miriam and Sheldon G. Adelson Clinic for Drug Abuse Treatment & Research, Inc. in Las Vegas, Nevada. 

Dr. Rucker received his medical degree in 1982 at Vanderbilt University School of Medicine in Nashville, Tennessee. He then completed his internal medicine residency at the Naval Hospital (1990 - 1993). Dr. Rucker is board certified in internal medicine with the American Board of Internal Medicine. 

Internal Medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Internists are skilled in the management of patients who have undifferentiated or multi-system disease processes. They care for hospitalized and ambulatory patients and may play a major role in education and research.
