Back in 1998, Dr. Szikman graduated with his Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree from the Henry M. Goldman School of Dental Medicine, which is the dental school at Boston University. Upon graduation, he completed a one-year residency in advanced general dentistry at the University of Boston. 

In order to stay up to date in his field, he remains a member of the Georgia Dental Association, the American Dental Association, the Academy of Computerized Dentistry, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
