Family medicine is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages. The specialist is called a family physician or family doctor. A family physician is often the first person a patient sees when seeking healthcare services. They examine and treat patients with a wide range of conditions and refer those with serious ailments to a specialist or appropriate facility.
Geriatrics, or geriatric medicine, is a specialty that focuses on the health care of elderly people. It aims to promote health by preventing and treating diseases and disabilities in older adults. A geriatrician is a health care provider who focuses on patient well-being and independent functioning. These allopathic or osteopathic health care providers are specifically trained to evaluate and manage the unique health care needs and special treatment requirements of older people.
Among his various accolades, Dr. Fagan has been the recipient of the Patients’ Choice Award (2018, 2016, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011, 2009, 2008), Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2016, 2014, 2013, 2012, 2011), and Top 10 Doctor – City (2014).
