Get to know Interventional Pain Management Specialist Dr. Yogesh B. Malla, who serves patients in Kentucky.

An interventional pain management specialist, Dr. Malla is a part of the team of professionals at Pain Management Centers of America, including: Pain Management Center of Paducah, Pain Management Center of Marion, Paducah Ambulatory Surgery Center, and Pain Care Surgery of Marion, encompassing multidisciplinary pain management programs. He has also been in private practice since the completion of his fellowship.

The Pain Management Centers of America are a comprehensive system of pain management centers with locations in Paducah, Kentucky and Marion, Illinois. Their team consists of Dr. Laxmaiah Manchikanti, Dr. Yogesh Malla, Dr. Kavita Manchikanti, and Dr. Riley Love, who are experts in interventional pain management and possess outstanding qualifications, as well as national and international recognition. They are equipped with the most state-of-the-art equipment in this area.

Native of Nepal, Dr. Malla graduated with his medical degree from Calicut Medical College in Kerala. He completed his internship at St. John’s Episcopal Hospital, his residency in anesthesiology at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, and his fellowship in pain medicine at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. In addition, he received post-graduate training in internal medicine and nephrology at Uniklinikum Muenster in Germany.

Co-authoring articles in scientific journals, he has Competency Certification in Interventional Pain Management with American Board of Interventional Pain Physician (ABIPP). As the certifying body for Interventional Pain Physicians, the ABIPP is committed to partnering with physicians to advance lifelong learning and exceptional patient care. Its mission is to advance the highest standards of the practice of Interventional Pain Management. In Addition he also carries  Competency Certification in Controlled Substance Management ; Competency Certification in Coding, Compliance and Practice Management and Competency Certification in Fluoroscopic Interpretation and Radiation Safety Awarded by the ABIPP.

Professionally, Dr. Malla is a member of numerous medical societies and associations, including the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians (Lifetime Membership),  the Kentucky Society of Interventional Pain Physicians, and the Illinois Society of Interventional Pain Physicians. He is also affiliated with Lourdes Hospital , Baptist Health, Paducah and Heartland Regional Medical Center, Marion Illinois
