Get to know Anesthesiologist Dr. Bryant S. Edwards, who serves patients in Fayetteville, North Carolina.

Dr. Edwards is a board-certified anesthesiologist and Founder of Iconic Infusions, located in Fayetteville, North Carolina. His practice is a leading ketamine infusion clinic borne out of his life experience and his dedication to service for the benefit of humanity.

After a series of spine surgeries threatened his health, he gained firsthand knowledge of chronic pain and associated conditions with which patients suffer. He founded Iconic Infusions to offer patients in the greater Fayetteville area safe, effective, patient-centered healthcare at an affordable rate so that those who could benefit from ketamine therapy and intravenous infusions can afford the treatments.

Originally from the Mississippi Delta, Dr. Edwards always had a passion for helping other people. He pursued his mission to serve through military service and work as a licensed practical nurse (LPN), a registered nurse (RN), and an EMT-B. He went on to earn his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Rocky Vista University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Parker, Colorado. He then completed his residency in anesthesiology through the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium located at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio, Texas.

In pursuit of clinical excellence, the doctor is board-certified in anesthesiology by the American Board of Anesthesiologists.

On a professional level, Dr. Edwards is an active member of the American Medical Association, the American Osteopathic Association, and the American Society of Anesthesiologists.

Anesthesiology is the medical specialty concerned with the total perioperative care of patients before, during, and after surgery. It encompasses anesthesia, intensive care medicine, critical emergency medicine, and pain medicine. Anesthesiologists have the primary responsibility of monitoring the patient’s vital signs during surgery. In addition to basic measurements such as pulse, blood pressure, and temperature, they measure the patient’s respiration.

While in the US Army, Dr. Edwards was a Licensed Practical Nurse with Quitman County Hospital in Marks, MS (1995 – 1996), and Vanderbilt Home Care Services in Nashville, TN (1998 – 2003), as well as Registered Nurse with Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN (2003 – 2006).
