For twenty years, Dr. Edwards has been at the forefront of vein care treatment, dedicated to enhancing the quality of life for patients suffering from venous disease. As the Director of the Center for Vein Care at Horizons Diagnostics, Dr. Edwards is not only board-certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery but also an esteemed member of the American Vein and Lymphatic Society. His commitment to patient care has earned his practice the distinction of being the only IAC-accredited vein center in Columbus, Georgia.

Venous disease, which can lead to pain, swelling,  varicose veins, and other complications, affects millions of people. Originally from Tampa, Florida, Dr. Edwards is a proud graduate of the University of South Florida, where he earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. He subsequently attended Nova Southeastern University, College of Osteopathic Medicine, graduating with honors. Dr. Edwards completed his general surgery residency and served as Chief Surgical Resident at Grandview Hospital in Dayton, Ohio. His leadership and expertise led him to serve as Chairman of the Department of Surgery at St. Francis Hospital in Columbus, Georgia, and he has been a valued member of the Horizons Diagnostics Board of Directors since 2005.

Dr. Edwards attributes his success to his unwavering focus on patient health and satisfaction, maintaining continuous follow-up with patients to ensure their needs are met. His dedication to education extends beyond his practice; he is also a sought-after speaker and teacher in the field of vascular health. Additionally, he serves as a Physician Consultant for the Medtronic Vascular Division, further demonstrating his commitment to advancing the field of vein care.

When he’s not in the office, Dr. Edwards enjoys traveling to Europe and the Caribbean, indulging his passion for fishing, and spending quality time with his family.
