An experienced psychiatrist, Dr. Mullick has a distinguished career spanning several decades. He has dedicated his life to diagnosing and treating individuals suffering from a wide range of mental illnesses. His treatment options may include the prescription of medications such as antidepressants, antipsychotic medications, mood stabilizers, stimulants, sedatives, and hypnotics.

Additionally, he utilizes psychotherapy or talk therapy, psychosocial interventions, and other therapeutic techniques to provide the most effective care. He embarked on his professional journey in 1986 when he opened his private psychiatric care center, PK Mullick MD & Associates, which is located in the Lawrenceville neighborhood of Pittsburgh. 

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Mullick earned his medical degree from LLRM Medical College in India and completed his residency in psychiatry at St. Francis Medical Center in Pittsburgh during which he gained valuable experience working in both inpatient and outpatient settings until 2002.

Subsequently, he joined the Western Psychiatric Institute (WPIC) and assumed responsibility for one of the dual diagnosis units, demonstrating his commitment to treating patients with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse issues. Alongside his service at WPIC, he joined the Western Pennsylvania Allegheny Health System (WPAHS) and served as the head of the consultation liaison service at West Penn Hospital.

Alongside his clinical role, Dr. Mullick serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the University of Pittsburgh. Furthermore, he served as the director of the Clozapine clinic at WPIC until his retirement from that role in 2013. Currently, he operates one of the largest Clozapine clinics in the Greater Pittsburgh area, showcasing his expertise in treating individuals with schizophrenia and related disorders. In addition, he offers comprehensive care for various psychiatric conditions, including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, and addiction psychiatry, including Suboxone treatment.

Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders. These include various maladaptations related to mood, behavior, cognition, and perceptions. Psychiatrists evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
