Dr. Mills comes from a distinguished lineage of medical professionals, with a family legacy comprising nineteen medical doctors. He completed his medical education at Loma Linda University School of Medicine and underwent comprehensive training in general surgery at Wright State University. His dedication to plastic surgery culminated in specialized training at the Medical College of Ohio, followed by an esteemed fellowship year in aesthetic surgery in Phoenix, Arizona.

A respected leader in the field, Dr. Mills served as the President of the California Society of Plastic Surgeons from June 2007 to June 2008. He was honored to be president of the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS) from 2016-2017. He is also an active member of several prestigious organizations, including The Aesthetic Society®, the California Society of Plastic Surgeons, the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, the Aesthetic Surgery Education and Research Foundation, and the American College of Surgeons (Fellow). Dr. Mills has also contributed significantly to the education of future surgeons through a decade of teaching at Loma Linda University. His innovative contributions to the field of plastic surgery have been recognized globally, with numerous publications and presentations at national and international conferences. 

Dr. Mills’ commitment to excellence extends beyond his practice. He actively participates in humanitarian efforts, collaborating with charities such as “Amigos de los Niños” and Operation Good Samaritan to provide essential plastic and reconstructive surgery to impoverished children suffering from congenital deformities. Additionally, he engages with the Community Services Project to help remove visible tattoos from reformed gang members, aiding their reintegration into society and improving their employment opportunities.

As he reflects on his career, Dr. Mills expresses a deep commitment to continuing his family’s legacy in medicine and positively impacting the lives of his patients and the broader community. “I hope to leave a lasting impression not just through my surgical skills, but through the relationships I build and the lives I touch,” he added.
