An error made by Dr. Moses in a basic appendectomy six years ago has completely altered my life and my family's life forever. She opted to wait on my surgery after I had already been at the hospital for 9 full hours. She opted for a good night's sleep when emergency surgery was recommended. During surgery my appendix burst and later I ended up with 3 abscesses. I gained 26 lbs in the few days I was Hutchinson Health. My lungs collapsed following surgery. I was given oxygen & respiratory therapy for 4 days. The same day I went off oxygen, Dr Moses sent me home. I was back in the following day in excruciating pain. Don't worry, Dr Moses made her flight to Mexico! I was transferred to St Cloud Hospital because Hutchinson would not help me. I fought for my life due to the severe infection in my body from the abscesses, the entire following week while Dr Moses was on the beach. 6 years later.... due to this I have 0 immune sytem, chronic migraines, fibromyalgia, chronic fatigue, and deal with depression and anxiety. I had to quit my job as an Executive and Marketing Assistant. I live with pain daily. Our finances have suffered. And no apology of any kind, nothing from the doctor or Hutchinson Health. We have been stuck with so many medical bills! PLUS we no longer have my income. In addition, my appendix had cancer. Hutchinson Health notified me with a doctor's note meant for my file via mail - three weeks after surgery. We had to bring it to my surgeon in St Cloud to have her tell us what it meant. It was all doctor lingo. We are still paying medical bills due to this disaster. My experience was beyond awful. Don't let happen to you, what happened to me.
