Get to know Podiatrist Dr. Meyoung C. Ryu, who serves patients in Downey, California.

In practice for over two decades, Dr. Ryu is a highly trained podiatrist specializing in the treatment of the foot, ankle, and related parts of the leg. She is affiliated with Optum Medical Group, seeing patients at the office in Downey, California.

Optum is a multi-specialty medical group, providing both primary and specialty care to patients. An Optum Primary Care Physician (PCP) sees patients for everyday health, wellness, and illnesses. At the start of her academic career, Dr. Ryu earned her undergraduate degree from the University of California, San Diego, and her Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from New York College of Podiatric Medicine. She completed her internship at St. John’s Episcopal Medical Center in Far Rockaway, and her residency at St. Vincent Catholic Hospital and Medical Center in New York City, where she also served as the Chief Resident.

Board-certified in podiatric surgery, she is affiliated with Long Beach Medical Center, Lakewood Regional Medical Center & St. Mary’s Medical Center.
