How long does it take for the redness to go away after LASIK?
Redness can come from subconjunctival hemorrhages that happen very frequently after surgery due to the suction device used to keep the eye in place where the laser is used or it can come from dryness that is also very common after surgery. Depending on what the reason is for the redness if it is a subconjunctival hemorrhage it may take up to 2-3 weeks for it to completely go away. If its from dryness, it can last that way for months and needs to be treated.
