Revolutionizing Pediatric Care Through Lifestyle and Culinary Medicine

A board-certified pediatrician, Dr. Dudley tended to patients at Corewell Health Southwestern Medical Primary Care Pediatrics in Stevensville, Michigan for over a decade before she transitioned into her current role in the culinary classroom and kitchen! With an impressive background in both pediatrics and lifestyle medicine, Dr. Dudley is committed to improving the health and well-being of children in Southwest Michigan  and beyond.  

Dr. Dudley earned her medical degree from Des Moines University College of Osteopathic Medicine and completed her residency at St. John Hospital and Medical Center in Detroit where she served as Chief Resident in her 3rd year. As a board-certified member of the American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics, she brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her practice. Additionally, she is an Associate Professor at Michigan State University, where she has been shaping the next generation of healthcare providers since 2015.

One of Dr. Dudley’s unique qualifications is her training in culinary medicine, a field focused on the intersection of food, nutrition, and health. As the lead physician instructor for culinary medicine classes at Corewell Health South, she teaches medical residents, community members, families, and patients how to harness the power of healthy eating to prevent and manage chronic diseases.

“Nutrition plays a fundamental role in pediatric and adult health, and I am passionate about educating families on how to make informed dietary choices,” said Dr. Dudley. 

In addition to her clinical and educational roles, Dr. Dudley is a mother of five and she is actively involved in charitable initiatives that address significant health and social issues. She is the leader of the local chapter of “Walk with a Doc”, a program that encourages physical activity and promotes community engagement in health discussions. Furthermore, she is dedicated to advocating for safer communities as a part of “End Gun Violence Michigan.”

Believing that every child deserves a healthy start, Dr. Dudley works tirelessly to ensure that her patients receive comprehensive care that includes both medical treatment and lifestyle education. Her holistic approach to pediatric care is not only refreshing but essential in today’s health landscape.
