Dr. Muppala is an experienced interventional cardiologist whose clinical interests include interventional cardiology, peripheral vascular angiography and intervention including carotid interventions, as well as pacemaker and defibrillator implantation. At present, he sees patients at Lee Physician Group – Cardiology in Fort Myers, Florida.

The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after he earned his medical degree from Sri Venkateswara Institute of Medical Sciences in India. He then went on to complete his internship at Saint Francis Helene Fuld, followed by his residency in internal medicine at LeHigh Valley Hospital. Wanting to further his training. He completed a fellowship in cardiology at Graduate Hospital and a fellowship in interventional cardiology at Saint Luke’s Mid America Heart Institute.

Dedicated to the highest standards of his profession, Dr. Muppala is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, and nuclear cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
