Born in North Carolina, Dr. Hunt earned his bachelor degrees’ in biology and chemistry, as well as his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was a Board of Governors Medical Scholar. He then went on to complete his internship and residency in internal medicine at the George Washington University Hospital in Washington D.C. Dr. Hunt was in private practice for several years in the metropolitan Washington D.C. area prior to moving to South Florida to join the team at Florida Healthcare Associates. 

Dr. Hunt is board certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
