Dr. Arutyunyan is the founder and president of Big Apple Spine and Orthopedics. His practice is located on Wall Street, in the heart of  New York City, offering his expertise in a broad spectrum of complex spine surgeries. Additionally, he conducts surgeries at reputable medical facilities such as Lenox Hill Hospital and NYU Langone, ensuring comprehensive and convenient care for his patients.

Dr. Arutyunyan’s journey to becoming a distinguished spine surgeon began with his Medical Degree from Loma Linda University School of Medicine in 2011. Following his education, he pursued a residency at the prestigious Mayo Clinic in the Department of Orthopedics in Rochester, Minnesota, and further honed his skills through a spine fellowship at the University of California, San Francisco. To deepen his specialization in orthopedic oncology, Dr. Arutyunyan completed a fellowship in orthopedic oncology at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York City, New York.

As a medical student Dr. Arutyunyan was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical honor society and is the recipient of the prestigious Philip H. Reiswig Award. During his spine fellowship he was the recipient of the Castellvi Research Award.  

With a commitment to advancing the field of orthopedic spine surgery, Dr. Arutyunyan has actively contributed to the academic community. He has shared his expertise by publishing and presenting at national and international meetings on topics related to spine deformity, orthopedic oncology, and the cost-effectiveness of orthopedic spine surgery.
