Isam Balat, MD, a distinguished obstetrician-gynecologist in the greater Houston area, has been a beacon of hope and care for women and families since he began his practice in 1976. A graduate of The University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, Dr. Balat completed his post-graduate training at the University of Texas Medical School in Houston. In 1998, he founded Plaza OB/GYN Associates in the museum district, further expanding his impact within the community. 

Among his many innovative offerings, Dr. Balat was one of the first physicians in Houston to provide the MonaLisa Touch®, a hormone-free treatment for atrophic vaginitis, which benefits women experiencing menopausal symptoms, those who have had hysterectomies, and breast cancer survivors.
