Get to know Urgent Care Physician Dr. E. Joseph Jacinthe, who serves patients in Texas.

Licensed to practice medicine in the states of Texas and Florida, Dr. Jacinthe is a healthcare executive, US Army Medical Officer, and Maritime Certified Physician. 

Blessed to service in both military and private medical settings, he has been serving as a pandemic relief ship physician / cruise ship provider with Aspen Medical USA since July of 2022. 

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Jacinthe graduated with his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Michigan. He then went on to earn his medical degree from the Tufts University School of Medicine in 2003.

Then, from 2003 until 2006, he served his residency in internal medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai/Morningside/West.

Dr. Jacinthe holds the Pandemic Preparedness Healthcare Certification (PPHC), which identifies healthcare professionals who have shown mastery in knowledge of pandemic preparedness and management by completing a 30 hour online training and passing the certification exam.

Throughout his line of work, he has served as a medical consultant (March 2020 – May 2022); an Assistant Professor, Hospitalist / Emergency Physician at Baylor Medical Center (September 2018 – May 2022); a business management consultant in medical informatics and business growth (January 2012 – May 2022); a seasonal medical relief volunteer at International Humanitarian Relief (June 2010 – May 2022); a US Army Medical Officer, Battalion Surgeon with the United States Army Reserve (May 2019 – March 2020); a medical consulting physician at River Oaks Medical (September 2015 – May 2019); a medical consultant with Mint Medical Services (2017); a consultant in Houston, Texas (September 2012 – December 2014); Captain of the US Army (January 2001 – February 2010); and as a physician at The Methodist Hospital (January 2008 – January 2010). 

Urgent care medicine is a specialty that focuses on providing patients with convenient and affordable treatment for their non-life-threatening injuries and illnesses. An urgent care physician is a physician who works in an urgent care facility. These facilities offer help to those needing immediate attention but are not injured or sick enough to warrant a trip to the hospital.

Among his philanthropic endeavors, Dr. Jacinthe is a supporter of Hand of Hope, the world missions outreach of Joyce Meyer Ministries. Its goal is to help the hurting and help Christians grow in their faith.

On a more personal note, he speaks multiple languages, including  English and Spanish.
