Born in Sierra Leone, Dr. Jah obtained his medical degree from Ain Shams University Medical School in Cairo, Egypt in 1985. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in internal medicine at G. W. Hubbard Hospital/Meharry Medical School in Nashville, Tennessee from November 1989 until December 1993. This was followed by a fellowship in geriatrics at the University of Connecticut School of Medicine – Travelers Center on Aging in 1994.
Among his other degrees, he holds a Master of Business Administration degree from Raymond J. Harbert School of Business, Lower Division, a Master of Surgery degree, as well as a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery degree.
