Dr. Pagan-Banchs is a highly skilled general dentist, practicing in Ponce, Puerto Rico. Academically, Dr. Pagan-Banchs is well prepared in her field. She holds a Bachelor of Science Degree from Pontifical Catholic University of Puerto Rico in Ponce. She obtained her Doctor of Dental Medicine Degree from University of Puerto Rico School of Dental Medicine, in 2013. In order to expand her knowledge towards becoming a better dentist, she completed an Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) Postdoctoral Residency Program with NYU Lutheran Medical Center, obtaining her certification in 2015.
Concerned about oral signs and symptoms shown by her patients, which gave indications of respiratory problems, Dr. Pagan-Banchs began training extensively in the Dental Sleep Medicine field. She has received the Qualified Dentist designation with the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine in 2021 and became a Diplomate of the American Board of Dental Sleep Medicine in 2023. She has also received training in TMJD and Craniofacial pain, Myofunctional Therapy, Orthodontics and Craniofacial Orthopedics, and Soft tissue surgery with laser.
On a professional level, Dr. Pagan-Banchs is an esteemed member of various dental organizations, including the American Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, the American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, the American Academy of Craniofacial Pain, the International Association for Orthodontics Puerto Rico, and Colegio de Cirujanos Dentistas de Puerto Rico. Her commitment to staying abreast of the latest developments in dentistry reflects her dedication to providing high-quality care to her patients.
Dr. Pagan-Banchs has a great passion for teaching and for sharing her knowledge with her patients, with students that make shadowing in her clinic, and with the general public.
