Meet Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Dennis J. Lutz, who coordinates Women’s Health Care in North Dakota
Dr. Lutz has long served as Professor and Chair of the Department of OB-Gyn at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine and Health Sciences. With over 80 North Dakota OB-Gyns from across the State on his faculty, he can knowledgeably help guide you to women’s healthcare providers in Bismarck, Dickinson, Fargo, Grand Forks, Minot, and Williston, North Dakota.
Nationally, Dr. Lutz is recognized for his career-long commitment to improving rural healthcare and for his expertise in both maternal mortality issues and addressing disparities in the healthcare of American Indian/Alaska Native women.
With a broad educational background, Dr. Lutz earned his medical degree from Weill Cornell Medical College of Cornell University in 1973. He then went on to complete his residency in internal medicine at the University of New Mexico Hospital in 1974, and his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Mayo School of Graduate Medical Education in 1978.
Following his training, he attained board certification in obstetrics and gynecology through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.
Maintaining fellowship status, Dr. Lutz is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
