Dr. Guillermo Köhn, MD, FACOG, FACS, is the founder and medical director of Miami Global OBGYN LLC. He is board certified by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG) and is a Fellow of both the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology (FACOG) and the American College of Surgeons (FACS). With over 27 years of experience, Dr. Köhn specializes in a wide range of obstetric and gynecological care, including DaVinci robotic surgery, minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery, and urinary incontinence surgery. He has held significant positions, including Assistant Clinical Professor at NOVA Southeastern University and the American University of the Caribbean, and Chair of the OB/GYN Department at Hialeah Hospital. Specializing in a diverse range of medical disciplines, Dr. Köhn is proficient in DaVinci Robotic surgery, Minimal invasive laparoscopic surgery, Urinary incontinence surgery, Pelvic organ prolapse surgery, the management of pelvic pain, menopause management, low and high-risk pregnancy care, infertility evaluation, annual women’s check-ups, preventive care, high-risk obstetric care, and proficiency in both vaginal deliveries and C-section procedures. His expertise extends to Mount Sinai Medical Center, Palmetto General Hospital, Aventura Hospital, Hialeah Hospital, Mercy Hospital and North Shore Medical Center.
Born in Asunción, Paraguay, Dr. Köhn graduated from medical school at Universidad Nacional de Asunción in 1996. He then went on to perform his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Instituto de Previsión Social, after which he worked in the academic and private field for several years.
In 2004, Dr. Köhn moved to the United States where he completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Flushing Hospital Medical Center / Weill Cornell in New York City. After finishing his training in 2011, he moved to the Magic City, Miami.
Throughout his line of work, Dr. Köhn has served as an Assistant Clinical Professor of NOVA Southeastern University, an Assistant Clinical Professor at the American University of the Caribbean, and as Chair of the OB/GYN Department at Hialeah Hospital.
Board certified in obstetrics and gynecology, Dr. Köhn is recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.
Holding fellowship status, Dr. Köhn is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG) and a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS).
In addition, he is an active member of the American Urogynecologic Society and the American Association of Gynecologic Laparoscopists.
