Dr. Garay’s medical career began over four decades ago when he graduated from Harvard Medical School in Boston, Massachusetts in 1974. After his graduation, he completed his internship and residency in internal medicine at Mount Sinai Medical Center, followed by his fellowship in pulmonary disease at NYU Langone Medical Center.

Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the American Thoracic Society, the American Medical Association, and the American College of Physicians. He also serves as a Clinical Professor within the Department of Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.
